Application Techniques
RIM (Resin Infusion Molding)
- Description: Resin is infused into dry reinforcements under vacuum pressure, ensuring even saturation and eliminating air pockets to produce strong, uniform composites.
- Best For: Creating complex shapes, minimizing waste, and producing lightweight, durable structure.
Processing Temperature
- Recommended Processing Temperature Range: 15°C to 50°C
Curing Process
- Initial Curing: Precuring at room temperature, though slow hardeners may require curing at 40–50°C
- Curing Agent Compatibility: Compatible with RIMH233 (fast), RIMH235, RIMH236, and RIMH238 (slow)
- Post-Curing: Final properties achieved with post-cure at elevated temperatures
