Application:
- Gliders
- Motor gliders
- Motor planes and helicopters
- Boat- and shipbuilding
- Sport equipment
- Model airplanes
- Automotive parts
- Molds and tools
Mixing and Preparation
- Mixing Ratio: Combine 100 parts of MGS LR418 Resin with 37 parts of LH418 Hardener by weight.
- Ensure thorough mixing to achieve a homogeneous blend, avoiding air entrapment.
Application Techniques
Wet Layup
- Description: Resin is applied directly to the reinforcement materials.
- Best For: Prototyping and small-scale projects.
Vaccuum Bagging
- Description: Combines wet layup with vacuum pressure to improve laminate quality.
- Common Uses: Aerospace, marine, and automotive industries where high strength and precision are critical.
Application Tip: Mix the resin until it is completely clear with no cloudiness. Avoid overmixing or under-mixing, as either can compromise the curing process.
Processing Temperature
- Recommended Processing Temperature Range: Recommended Range: 15°C–50°C, ideal: 25°C–35°C.
Curing Process
- Initial Curing: Cure the mixture at room temperature.
- Curing Agent Compatibility:LH418 Hardener
- Post-Curing: After initial curing, perform post-curing at temperatures ranging from 50°C to 80°C (122°F to 176°F), depending on the specific application requirements.
