SKU: MGSLH91-X25 Category:

EPIKURE Curing Agent MGS LH91 combined with  EPIKOTE Resin L 20 combined is a low-viscosity, cold-curing epoxy system designed for layup molding. Its high reactivity provides short mold residence times, making it ideal for complex laminates and sandwich layups. It demonstrates excellent wetting and adhesion characteristics on glass, carbon, aramid, and polyester fibers.

Application:
  • Layup molding and sandwich layups, particularly in aerospace, marine, and industrial composites.
  • Benefits: Short curing times and superior fiber wetting, making it suitable for complex shapes.
Mixing and Preparation
  • Mixing Ratio: 100 parts EPIKOTE Resin L 20 to 27 parts EPIKURE Curing Agent MGS LH91.
Application Techniques
Hand Layup
  • Description: Resin is applied manually to the reinforcement materials with tools like brushes or rollers.
  • Best For: Prototyping and small-scale projects.
Vaccuum Bagging
  • Description: Combines wet layup with vacuum pressure to improve laminate quality.
  • Common Uses: Aerospace, marine, and automotive industries where high strength and precision are critical.

Application Tip: Mix the resin until it is completely clear with no cloudiness. Avoid overmixing or under-mixing, as either can compromise the curing process.

Processing Temperature
  • Recommended Processing Temperature Range: 20°C to 30°C.
  • Temperature Notes: Higher temperatures accelerate curing but reduce pot life significantly.
Curing Process
  • Initial Curing: 7 days at 20–25°C.
  •  Resin  Compatibility: Designed for EPIKOTE Resin L 20
  • Post-Curing: For enhanced mechanical properties, post-curing at higher temperatures may be recommended
