MGS Repairset 635 is an epoxy-based laminating resin system specifically designed for efficient and reliable repair of composite structures. It is solvent-free and contains no fillers, ensuring high-quality results in demanding applications. This easy-to-use system is available in pre-measured bagged kits and cartridges, simplifying the mixing and application process.
Application:
- Ideal for repairing composite structures using hand lamination techniques.
Mixing and Preparation
- Mixing Ratio: 100:30 ± 2 parts by weight or 100:33 ± 2 parts by volume
Application Techniques
Bagged Kit Application:
- Remove the clip separating resin and curing agent compartments.
- Knead the bag for 2 minutes to ensure thorough mixing, including the edges.
- Cut an opening in the bag and check for a uniform mixture before application.
- If needed, transfer the mixture to a bucket and stir with a tool for 1 minute.
Processing Temperature
- Recommended Processing Temperature Range: Recommended range is 15°C to 35°C, ensuring optimal performance across varying conditions.
Curing Process
- Initial Curing:Workable and demoldable after room temperature curing.
- Curing Agent Compatibility: Specifically designed for use with EPIKOTE™ Resin MGS LR635.
- Post-Curing: Achieve full strength with post-curing at temperatures above 40°C, ideally 5 hours at 70°C.
